I am not the typical homeowner with 2.5 kids earing 250k a year. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and make ends meet. I am the typical do-it-yourselfer. So far I've fixed an appliance on every wall in my apartment. My landlord loves me fyi. After some coaxing from my friends about my dirty carpets -they told me it was a health issue- I rented a rug machine from Safeway. It cost around 125 bucks for the machine cleaning chemicals, scotchguard, deoderizer and pet allergen chemicals. I spent the entire day cleaning only my living room and realized to clean my entire apartment with the machine I would be spending around 400 dollars and would get fired from my job for an unexcused leave of absence. I decided to hire a company with the budgeted 400 dollars instead. I called several companies but felt the most comfortable with these guys. I made the right decission. Not only did they clean my living room better than I but they only spent 2 hours cleaning the carpets and it only cost me 150 + the 6 pack I bought for myself in celebration of a job well done.

Great investment! I have never cleaned my carpets professionaly. The time has really flown by and the addition of two beautiful children and one very messy retriever has paid its toll on our carpets. When we initially purchased our home the developers gave us a choice between hardwood floors or carpet. We chose carpet keeping in mind we plan on building a family some day. That was 5 years ago and last week I found myself regretting that decission when my husband informed me our in-laws would be coming into town for the weekend and wanted to see the grandkids. I panicked and ran straight into the office and began searching for carpet cleaners. I stumbled upon Avalon Carpets. I called their office and received a quote, wrote the numbers down, then called 2 other companies. After my first round of quotes I looked at my sketch pad and noticed that I had received 3 very different quotes. I only have one home and was quite confused why there was a huge spectrum of quotations. So I investigated further. Out of the 3 companies I called only Avalon gave me the exact description of their cleaning procedure. For the price, no other company was able to match the quality for the same price. When I asked one of the less expensive companies about the high prices of other companies the operator (possibly the owner) told me he could match the quality and beat the price. At first this sounded like a good idea but then I realized, If the less expensive company is willing to do a better and more thorough job for less money than its competition, why wouldn't they be doing that in the first place? Needless to say I chose Avalon and my carpets look new again. They removed a red slurpee stain that my husband had spilled 4 years previous! Amazing! I highly recommend this company to anyone with dirty carpets. lol!
