User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been a "grump" about making a dental appointment for 13 years. I served in the U.S. Navy for 9 years and no disrespect to the better dental techs and officers out there, but my experience with Navy dentist were atrocious! April this year was my first dental appointment since 1996, and I only decided to shop around for a dentist because an old filling became weak and started causing me problems.
I rolled the dice and decided to visit Dr. Knaphus. The environment at A-1 Family Dentistry was quite pleasant. His staff are knowledgeable and personable, within five minutes of talking with Dr. Knaphus I knew my fright and misery of past experience would remain a memory. He was completely thourough in his explanation of the work to be done, and precisely covered all the details. Dr. Knaphus and his crew were outstanding with my dental work and I would recommend A-1 Family Dentistry to anyone. Thanks again guys, see ya's next month!

I am convinced that Dr.Roger B.Knaphus is not only a very thorough, competent dentist, but I think heâs the best Iâve ever been to. He diagnosed a painful problem with a bridge that two other dentists couldnât see, and fixed it perfectly for me. His routine exams are more thorough than any I have had previously. I recently moved to Oregon , but I intend to schedule my Washington visits so that I continue to benefit from his excellent dentistry." ... "I just had a dental appointment here in Portland, Oregon. The dentist examined my teeth and he had only one comment about all the dental work in my mouth; he said âthat bridge is absolutely excellent dental work.â A few minutes later he commented about it again to his assistant, and called it âthat beautiful bridge.â Of course, Dr. Knaphus did that bridge. I had a strong feeling that Dr.Knaphus is the best dentist Iâve been to, but this dentistâs comment just proved what I knew all along! My thanks to Dr. Knaphus and all his team(Alinne and Lacey ) at A-1 Family Dentistry !" Edit
