Awesome product! It's nice to have a selection of gourmet chocolates, coffee, and nostalgic candies available in Kingsport. I bought some of these for a house warming party and they were a hit!
Everything was TOO EXPENSIVE ! My kids were disappointed because I could only buy them one piece of chocolate each. I ended up getting them a sucker stick to go with it. I won't be going back. Also, the guy running the counter could have been nicer. Maybe he was just having a bad day, though.

First off, why would you take your kids to a specialty store expecting to buy a premium product at non premium price? That's like going to a Mercedes dealership expecting to get a Mercedes for the price of a Yugo.
Second, I have done quite a bit of traveling and have been in several fine chocolate shops across the country and have found the prices are comparable and reasonable considering the quality of the product. One thing I've learned in shopping at Yaya's is their chocolates aren't mass produced or full of preservatives. They're handmade chocolates with no additives or preservatives and they are fresh! If you want cheap, take your kids to Wal-Mart or Big Lots and buy them some candy that's full of preservatives and been setting on a shelf for months. You won't find that at Yaya's!
Third, I've been going to Yaya's for sometime and have never had a problem with unfriendly staff. Could it be possible you were unfriendly first and snarled at their product or prices?

I'm sure once the economy picks up they'll expand their hours. It's hard, especially on small businesses right now, just to make enough money to keep their doors open at all.
