Finally I can work out in my own backyard! Pluses: new, clean smell; new strength equipment; clean bathroom; pretty views. Negative: at least one row of treadmills are hand-me-downs from 24 Hour Fitness. Oh well.

I do not wish to comment on the actual gym, as I am not a member. I instead wish to comment on the services offered at this establishment.

I made an appointment for a Couples Massage as a Valentine's Day present for my new wife. Great idea, huh?

Well, we arrived ten minutes early. We were told that "they schedule these back to back, so sometimes they run over the hour slot - but dont worry!" After standing there waiting HALF AN HOUR (and it now being 20 minutes past the appointment time), the masseuse comes out to purchase a bottle of water. The receptionist asks her if she is going to take her noon appointment now, to which she responded "What noon appointment? I have to check the books." She then wandered back over, told my wife and I that no one had bothered TELLING HER that they had booked an appointment (because she is apparently incapable of checking her schedule herself first thing in the morning like a normal human being would...go figure) and that, if we wanted, she would give us a discount for our next appointment. No offer to give my wife a quick massage or to make amends by offering a free massage - she wants me to make another appointment to get a discount? WHAT A JOKE. Worse customer service I have ever been exposed to - and that is saying a lot.

As far as the gym is concerned, it had nice new equipment and was clean, but it seemed rather small - and I was told that it gets busy as heck between 5pm and 7pm after work. So, great place for a stay at home mother who can go in the middle of the morning, but not a place I would want to be after work - it gets as crowded as the Highway 4 interchange right down the street at the same hour!

Great gym!! Very clean, new equipment, large workout floor upstairs with 360-degree, panoramic Bay views from anywhere on the workout floor. Several cardio machines have DirectTV options - plug your earphones into the bike or elliptical and watch your favorite show while you work out. ;-)
