I got more attention and 100% better service from The Country Cupboard AT THEIR BUSIEST dinner time than I did at Rumor Hazit when the place was empty! I went on an "off" day, went in early and was the only person inside the restaurant (3 couples were outside). My server passed me by 4 times while my water glass sat empty. Even when I finally gave up and waved her over she never noticed I wasn't eating my entree and had an empty glass staring her in the face. I got NO resolution when I asked the server to tell the chef my spinach was too salty to eat and the homemade fries were wet and limp from all the oil absorbed (the oil probably wasn't hot enough and absorbed the oil). Unlike the attention my friends and I got at The Country Cupboard, I only got a blank stare from my server when I told her there was a problem; not even an "I'm sorry..." I ended up paying over $30 for an entree that got tossed in a to-go box and had a ruined evening that ended early. I was just as mad at the chef because when I asked the server if she told the chef my problem, he, in my opinion, was too arrogant to help. She said she told him, and that was the end of it. He certainly had the time to help because there was no other customers in the restaurant to speak of. I got a scared look from the server when I asked for a 2nd dinner roll. I overheard her telling the person in the kitchen window, "she only wants one more roll". Excuse me for paying over $30 for an entree (incl.tax & tip) and having the audacity to ask for a 2nd dinner roll! I'm through with that! I'll go where my business is appreciated.
High priced, but good service. The problem is that the food was so salty that both my wife and I were unable to eat. Had good potential, but in practice was incredibly average! I won't go back primarily for fear of being sent into congestive heart failure from all of the excess salt
