I have been to Hurricane Hanks many many times and have been quite pleased, however tonight I had the worst experience ever. My husband and I got there around five o'clock, we walked inside and the barmaid said have a seat and I'll be with you in a minute. We waited at least 15 minutes for her to come to our table( without menus) she said she was sorry for the wait that nobody told her we were there, after she was the one that told us that she would be with us in a minute. She took our drink order and returned with our drinks and menus. After about 5 minutes she returned to take our order. I ordered a cuban sandwich and she proceeded to say that was her favorite while writing it down. My husband ordered a blackened fish rueben with black beans and rice. After about a 15-20 minute wait another waitress came to the table with my husbands order but not mine and she ask me what did I order and I told her a cuban. I told my husband to go ahead and eat so that his wouldn't get cold, then the barmaid came over and said that she overlooked our order and that it was her fault and she was sorry. After another 10 minutes the other waitress came with my order so I said to her that my husband was half finished his meal and was both of the orders on the same ticket and she quickley became defensive pointing her finger towards the other girl and said she overlooked the order somehow. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but we were the only two people in the restaurant area at the time and we just wanted to know how the kitchen got my husbands order and not mine when they were both on the same ticket but nobody seemed to have an answer and even cared to find one. We have brought many of our friends there and have told many others what a great place it was, but now I'm not so sure I will ever return ,nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. It's to bad that two employees that don't care could cause you to loose two loyal customers and some that we will never refer. The food was good but the service ruined it. Maybe you just need some new employees

We visit FL at least once a year. This time we took my mother & father in law. We went to Hurricane Hank's once for dinner & enjoyed it so much - we went back the next day for lunch. The food was incredible & you get ALOT of it for a great price. My favorite is the club salad-I think it might be named the Hurricane Salad? Anyways-YUMMMYY! My father & mother in law got the fish & chips - which they said was the best they have ever tasted. Our waitress was funny & friendly & the owner even came by to see if we needed anything. We sat at the Tiki Bar for a little bit & listened to the band after dinner. It was a terrific atmosphere! Very relaxing & fun. I cant wait to go back :)
