I was pretty excited about trying this place out when I heard about it. Upon arriving I noticed this was a very trendy looking place with a very odd menu selection. Items range from a sloppy joe made from kobe beef served with fries all the way to new york strip. I had the "BBQ Chik" which, as the name suggests is barbeque chicken breast served with a side of mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. The chicken was great, the corn was...well, corn, hard to mess up corn on the cob but it wasn't anything special, as for the mashed potatoes, I wasn't really impressed with them. The portions were TINY, which isn't really what you expect when you pay $16 for something as simple as bbq chicken. As I looked around I noticed every meal portion was very small. Overall, I rather enjoyed the swanky atmosphere, it's a definite welcome change from the norm, but as for the food....overpriced and not the greatest.
This is likely the worst dining experience I have ever had. The staff has a California attitude..which will never fly in the deep south. I predict that this location will fail within one year. Word of mouth is everything in a town like Huntsville, and it wont take long. The most fun I had was trying to find my food on the plate - I have never seen such small portions at such high prices. My friend's meatloaf looked like an old, smelly shoe. The prices were outrageous..and included sharing charges (we didnt even share) and $4 upcharges for substitutions. The food was awful. To add insult to injury, you cannot even get ketchup ..at ketchup!. I should have gone to Red Lobster..or 5 guys...or McDonalds. I love Bridge Street...I love Monaco...but if I want to part with $50, I would rather eat anywhere else.
