After taking my Martin to several other "repair" shops in the area for both work and advice, I found Butch's. Let me just say, this is the ONLY place in the area, maybe even in CA that you should bring your guitar for work! Not only is the staff very helpful, but they actually know and understand guitars. Once they repaired the work that the other shops had done (which unfortunately wasn't cheap...thanks a lot "other shops"), they then went on to truly repair the instrument. It's never played as good. Not even when it was brand new. Oh, and by the way, when I bought it here in SLO, the shop that I bought it from did some adjustments before I left with it. They even did that wrong! What business does any shop have selling guitars of this level if they can't even do minor adjustment correctly. Save the time and frustration and just take it to Butch from the get go! My one request: Please Butch...we implore you....please start carrying some nice new acoustic guitars other than the consignment instruments you have in the shop! We need a great acoustic guitar shop in this town again!

Thee place in San Luis Obispo for professional repair of guitars and for the sale of quality acoustic stringed instruments without being gouged, and Butch is a nice guy.
