I had mixed thought because sushi and sports bar? didn't think it woulld be my kind of scene but as the night went on i ended up having a lot of fun. it was a friday so i guess they had kareoke and i ended up singing LOL. everyone cheered, everyons is so friendly and the staff is like your friend. didn't try the food but the people i was with said it was good. apparently they have other food than sushi. wings burgers or something. but its definitely something new to go to in borign fairfax. very different atmosphere than your other bars. will return. oh but it is smokey. but i guess if the smoking laws pass soon itll be good.

This place was a lot of fun! I'm so glad I discovered it and gave it a shot. It has a cool ambiance, yet the price was right (they had a 1/2 price appetizer special, and they were huge) and the waitstaff, friendly. It has separate seating for regular dining, and then a full out "sports bar" area behind a glass partition, with a bar and several large flat screen t.v.'s showing sports and other chanels. My boyfriend loved the place, was already talking about returning as we sat there eating. The food was great, the atmosphere fun. Overall, this place has a somewhat trendier vibe than most places in Fairfax. I would not take a family of four with small kids, or the sunday bridge group, but it's a great date spot or for a dinner out with friends. Not sure what the harsh reviews on here were about--probably someone who fell into the earlier categories. Don't let let the bad reviews on here discourage you, I hope it stays in business, Fairfax needs more places like this...

I'm pretty sure most of the "good" reviews are from people affiliated with Uptown because this place is horrible! I would NOT recommend it to anyone. Bad food mixed with horrible customer service equals one of the worst dining experiences my family and I have ever had. Don't let the looks of this place fool you, its merely just a facade.
Sidenote- Why on earth would you have the sports bar and restaurant separated by only a glass door? It was really nice trying to eat dinner and everytime that damn door would open we'd hear a bunch of ruckus from the "very few" people that were in there.
It's only a matter of time before this place goes down. Why else would the chunky somewhat annoying asian girl keep trying to persuade us to buy "additional" things with our meal?? This place is a joke!

If you felt that i was pushing you to order additional things, it was to have your try it. I think you may have misunderstood my intentions. We separate the sports bar from the restaurant because it is the smoking sectionThanks for your remarks. Bad remarks are just as good as good remarks. If this is not your type of restaurant I hope you find one for you. We will continue to please the people who do enjoy coming here. Although I do not know who you are, there are no hard feelings. Thank God that someone had the idea to turn this Sushi place into an Italian restaurant. My wife and I had dinner in the sports bar the other night and it was the best tasting angel hair pasta with shrimp that I have ever tasted. My wife had the spaghetti with meat sauce and loved it. The food is amazing and the service and smiling staff added to the perfect evening. I am telling all of my friends to visit this awesome new Italian sensation. Fairfax finally has a great looking restaurant with great food and great service.
