We were looking forward to some fine food and their own beers. Instantly assaulted by the noisy dining room, we asked for the quietest table. Given the small size of the place this did not help. Obviously the type of clientele they have attracted do not know when to use their "inside" voices. The beer menu contained only one of their brews, a brown ale mixed with spices, quite unacceptable for this time of the year and probably a leftover from Thanksgiving. Spiced beer is juvenile at best.
So between the noise and lousy selection, we simply left and will not try the place again.
We are thrilled to have Peekskill Brewery near us (Croton). They have an outstanding selection of beers on tap ranging from the more popular (Magic Hat #9) to the less familiar (their own Not-toberfest brew). Service is fast, friendly, and staff has good knowlege of the beers and food. As vegetarians, we wish they had a couple more options for us, but they've been happy to modify dishes like the rye bread appetizer to be meatless. Bar scene is lively and separate from the main restaurant. We couldn't get a table Friday night (our second visit in two weeks) at 7 p.m., and honestly were happy to see the wait - we hope this restaurant and brewery stays in business.
