User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRecently, my family made a trip to Syracuse, New York for an ice hockey tournament. We were told not to miss Dinosaur BBQ. We went and lets just say we weren't impressed. The wait was ridiculously long, the atmosphere was dreary, and the graffiti all over the bathroom was little much; the ribs were OK. On our way home we decided to stop at Corning Museum of Glass. This was a very cool place to visit; a must for those with kids. When we asked the local people for a great family friendly restaurant, they recommended HOLMES PLATE on Market Street. Luckily for us they had smoked ribs on the menu. These were without a doubt the best ribs we had ever tried! Chef Brendan has managed to provide top-notch food at bargain prices. One can tell that everything is made from the freshest ingredients. Not only that, they have a corner with a bunch of little toys and coloring books that keep the kids busy. Hats off to Holmes Plate! Great food, great prices, comfortable atmosphere. Go and don't forget to try the ribs!

During a recent visit to Corning with my family we had the opportunity to dine at Holmes' Plate, a new restaurant. Our server, Christina, was very accommodating and the food was absolutely amazing!
Their Baby-Back Ribs are to die for! We've done extensive traveling and I must say that these ribs are by far the best ever!
