User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe were on Chincoteague for a vacation and went frequented the Sea Shell Cafe three times. The stuffed flounder is delicious, as is the homemade clam chower and potato salad. The crab cakes with not one bit of filler were out of this world. The unending glass of homemeade lemonade hits the spot. Don't forget dessert. Try the creme brulee and the lemon berry cake....to die for!!

I recently went to the Sea Shell Cafe on 6/6/09 and was very disappointed with the service and the food was the worst I have ever had by far!I had a roast beet salad that tasted rotten and the lettuce was slimy.My wife ordered the chicken Marsala and it tasted extremely bland.I was appalled by the waitress's attitude. She did not smile and was very rude. I read in the newspaper this place was highly reccomended and it is just the opposite.I don't know why the ad proceeded to mention an award winning chef? I was say an award for the worst chef in all my years of dining out!I will never eat there and if you want good food trust me this is not the place!!!!

Interesting wine list at reasonable prices, knowlegable bartender (Erica) and friendly waitstaff. Favorite: roasted beet salad.
