User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBlessings In The Mire is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and awareness of adolescent suicide. The non-profit corporation is an offshoot of the book by the same name, Blessings InThe Mire, by author Jan Deelstra. The book reportedly seems to have a healing effect on readers. This non-profit corporation is actively involved in guiding youth to explore the use of artistic expression, and life skills as a means of communicating emotions. The art is sold to teach enterprise, with a portion of the proceeds paid back into the non-profit to encourage philantropy. This organization gets 5 Stars for boldly addressing an issue mostly ignored by the masses; this, in spite of epidemic levels of adolescent suicide.
