Finally Auburn has a restaurant that is worth going to every night to eat if you can afford that ritual. The menu is very appealing with many things to choose from. We ordered the nochos and got a huge plate of chips, cheese, onions, pulled pork and bbq sauce dribbled all over it. Kids gobbled it down. Delicious! Had their flat-iron steak with the saute peppers, onions and mushrooms - was cooked to perfection and enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Wife had the rib/chicken plate with the garlic mashed potato. Ribs were very meaty and good (of course I had to try a few) the chicken was moist and great (told it was beer can chicken cooked in the smoker). Prices were + or - $10 bucks. Very reasonable. Kids got free dessert. Wife and I shared the carrot cake. Killer! Told they will have a full bar opening soon next store with live music. We're coming back next weekend with friends. Thanks for opening Oakfire in Auburn - we needed a good family restaurant.
Place rocks and is a great add for Auburn. Great BBQ and steaks.
The salads are out of this world. Nutty Chickens the best!!!
Keep up the great cooking. And if any one bashes Oakfire, they are the competitor!!! That's a fact.
We had my sons B-Party on the patio, 12 total.
It was great! The patio was well heated, both servers great! The pizza, burgers and choc. cake was perfect with the candles and balloons, nice touch Oak Fire. The adults had two steaks and a sampler with pulled pork, sausage, tri-tip, all three dishes very well cooked and a 10 for presentation. And the steak, oh, the steak was great for the $16.00 price tag. I still wonder how they can sell that dish of food for only $16.00 We all have great comments, that goes unsaid, but the real reason I had to write this was that the 9 kids destroyed the patio, food all over the floor, chairs and walls... I got up and was so embarrassed when I realized there was a mess. I was told not to clean one thing and to not worry about it, they insisted that I go home and enjoy my sons B-Party and would not hear anything more about it. It had to taken them longer to clean the mess then to cook the food. I must thank them for the service and apologize for the mess. Oh, they did not charge for the cupcakes, said it was free for the kids and any kids that come in get free cupcakes, no charge. Loven it! Bob
