Love it!! I have my horse in the big back pasture, approximatly 80 acres and he is as happy as they come. Lots of grass in the summer, and they keep a steady supply of round hay bales out there for the winter. Water tank is always full and pretty clean. Arenas are in great shape, tons of places to ride and wonderful people. Staff is knowlegable and helpful, Joe is super nice, rates are good. Silver Creek is at the top of the list of places I have boarded over the years. I highly recommend it.
This is a great place and easy to get to from I-25. I come from DU (South Denver) and it takes about 40 minutes. Joe and his crew are pleasant, experienced horse people who keep the barn clean and horses well-fed. There is plenty of turnout. Wash racks, saddling stalls, plenty of tack rooms. Trails. There are two outdoor and one indoor arena (with mirrors!) so lots of room - on days when everyone is inside because of inclement weather you will find everyone to be polite and cooperative. Don't let all of Joe's cattle fool you...there are lots of different types of riding here. Western to dressage to natural horsemanship. Excellent board prices. I am not on staff, lol. I just like it at Silver Creek.
This is the worst managed barn I have ever boarded at, and I have boarded at SEVERAL facilities throughout my five years as a boarder. I would like to state that this barn is dirty, not well maintained and the "hay" that they are feeding is hardly sufficient. In the big snow storm most of the horses lost a significant amount of weight. So, I would not suggest this place unless you are an avid horse owner and can watch your horse everyday to make sure they are being fed, that there water is full , and that they have access to shade. I would also suggest a daily wormer because a three month is less then sufficient. So for the avid owner I wish you the best of luck!
