User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsChris as quit, too. That place has had more artists quit than Mcdonalds has sold hamburgers. Is the owner that screwed up that he can't keep decent help, or does he hire from a halfway house or temp agency?

I've gone to Shovelheads twice now. Chris did my massice old-school swallow FREEHAND, and it came out amazing.He was so easy to talk to which really calmed my nerves. I live up the street and was so excited when i heard the shop was coming to town, center of north attleboro???? But, it's awesome, when i first started goin there, there was no receptionist, who ever was closest to the phone answered it, it was chill. Chris is my favorite,he's one of the realist dudes I have ever met and his talent is amazing.Can't wait to go back and see him for more!!!

I have to agree with the comment below. I no idea what management is doing over there. This place is the definition of Employee Retention ISSUES!! The original staff was excellent, the girls up front were friendly and knowledgeable and the artists seemed to work together and collaborate nicely. On top of doing amazing work every time you walked into the shop you were greeted by friendly faces and they quickly became your friends. In a 6 month period every employee seems to have been driven away and the replacements keep getting worse and worse! The artist are very inconsistent with exception of Chris (who is the only reason I even go in there anymore) The "girls" have no idea what they are doing and try so hard to make it appear as though they have a clue. They cant even take a proper appointment. Last time I called I had to ask them if I could make an appointment with Chris. After the girl couldn't figure out the schedule I just walked down there to speak to Chris directly. I really hope they aren't paid much! If it wasn't for him I would never step foot in there again.
I had to laugh at the previous comment "biker babe" desk girl with an attitude. I agree 100%! Bring back the Hot biker chicks that knew what they were doing, or at least a hot chick to make the wait a little more pleasant. These ones just aren't cutting it! figure it out guys you had a great thing going. Glad my piece is done and I have no reason to go back.
After writing my review I decide to scroll through others reviews and had to write another comment. Can management not see that the reviews have been consistently going downhill since the beginning of the year? If they were smart they would figure it out what changed and fix it.

As owners of Shovelheads Tattoo, we would like to assure everyone that Chris has NOT quit. Chris has joined the Army Reserve and is currently at boot camp and will be back in the fall. We are glad to see that everyone misses Chris as much as we do. We are very proud of Chris and hope you are all proud of him as well. We are looking forward to his return. We invite everyone to visit our website @ www.shovelheadsusa.com to a see sample of the great work that Amanda, Mike and Joey are doing. Unfortunately we have had some artist changes in the past few months, but we are lucky to still have Amanda and Chris and hope that you will come in and meet Joey and Mike. They are both great Artists and have many years of experience behind each of them. Again, Thank you for missing Chris, but relax everyone.....he will be back in the fall.
