We stopped in for dinner at the Hickory Hut BBQ after getting a recommendation about it from a friend in Alberta who ate there earlier in the year during his trip to Huntsville.

It was one of the highlights of our week long stay in Huntsville. The food was good and the hosts are very nice people. We enjoyed the conversation with Dwayne and Ms Patsy as much as the food.

I had the catfish, my wife had the bbq pork - both of which we would recommend. The batter and seasoning Dwayne makes up for the Catfish is terrific.

We are from the west coast of BC, CANADA were we just do not get the opportunity to experience food like this. Definately looking forward to returning to the Hickory Hut next time we are in Huntsville.

The food and hospitality at the Hickory Hut are excellent. They have pulled chicken, chicken wings, catfish, pork, beef brisket, greens, baked beans, corn, green beans and so much more. And the desserts are delicious (red velvet cake, pound cake, etc). It is a great eating experience. VERY, VERY GOOD!

Great restaurant! The BBQ, catfish fillets, and southern style veggies are simply delicious. Their BBQ sauce is one of the best -they make it from scratch (I asked) and they'll soon be selling it online. When craving down-home southern cooking, this is the place for me. They have green beans, baked beans, fried okra, collard greens, and more that I cannot recall. Even though I try to steer away from pork in general, their ribs are fantastic and is a favorite of my husband's. Their BBQ chicken and the catfish are my favorites!
I'm tired of fast-food chains and restaurants that don't really cook the food but just heat up some frozen, already-prepared-food full of preservatives, etc. This place has fresh-made food daily.
