A group of us decided that we would meet at this new restaurant in the Pearl District. We didn't know much about this place but knew that it was new in town and looked enticing. We met at 50 plates in the late evening so all of us ordered different dessert plates. The presentation of the desserts are a 5 star, but unfortunately, the taste is a 2 star. It wasn't horrible. The Smores Fodue was just ok. The graham crackers served with the fondue tasted like cardboard (stale with no flavor). I had the Devil Chocolate Cake. Let's just say that I have baked better cakes from a Duncan Hines box. The cake was flavorless. I was expecting this delicious chocolate, decadent, rich cake...but much to our dismay, it was not. What was a little disappointing was when we told the waiter what we thought about the desserts, he kindly stated that he would let the manager know. The manager came out and basically gave us some lip service...basically, it sounded like we were the problem. We thought at least that they would comp us on one dessert, but they didn't do anything. We were a little disappointed. We didn't try dinner, so maybe it's a lot better. Again, the desserts are left to be desired! Don't order the Fondue, Fos Hos (basically hoho cupcakes), and Devil Chcocolate cake!
