Dish Bistro

Went to Dish Bistro with a group of 6 people for dinner about a month ago. It took forever to get the food that we ordered. When we did receive the food, many of the orders were wrong. They did not seem to really care that there were so many mistakes. The food that we did get tasted bad and was not as described on the menu. The music was very lound and it was hard to carry on a conversation. They should try to make it easier for people to talk. The bathrooms were very dirty and unkept, not what you would expect from a restaurant. I can not recommend this place at all. Too bad, since the area needs a good restaurant. Stay far away from this place.

Where do I Begin… firs I need to make this perfectly clear that I am not a restaurant basher… in fact I have never written a review anywhere this critical before. I have worked many years in the restaurant business and always give the establishment the benefit of the doubt. But I was so blown away (in a negative way) by what I and my family just experienced I had to write this truly objective review. I live only 2 min. from the Dish and there is no one who wanted the Dish to be successful. Let’s first get the notion that the Dish is in any way a restaurant. Although their menu is “bisto-esc” everything we ordered was prepared at least 1-2 days prior and was not even warmed properly…everything was cold to luke warm. It was crazy obvious that they were re-warming everything, and not even doing that well. I understand prep. …but this was crazy bad and expensive. You couple that with the fact that I had been sent several e-mails hi-lighting live music at 7pm (the reason we went there) and no one knew about such an event. The comments I read by previous customers about being unclean is completely true (and I am pretty forgiving so long as the place recognizes itself as a dive, and you are only there for the music and drinks). It stems from the fact that they don’t have any experience wait staff….veryyyyyyyy poor, and no one has wiped the tables for several days (my guess). We were so disappointed I decided the only thing we could do was to drown our sorrow with the Dish’s over priced drinks and to just get out with a “lesson learned”. The “Dish” needs to give up the concept of serving food and just act as a venue for music in Montgomery County and just open for the few hours they actually can produce a band. P.S. to the Dish’s management, charge a cover, and cut the bizarre drink prices in half. I truly with the Dish the best of luck… but unfortunately it has lost one of its most enthusiastic supporters.
