I have to agree with craigsm on this one. Overpriced cafeteria food. And, I have to agree, it's the happy hour that probably is the only agreeable thing about this place.
For two-thirds of the price we would have had half again the food without having to stand in line and serve ourselves at any number of other Cajun-themed places near here. Razoo's is only a mile away. The coconut shrimp was soggy and overcooked. $8.95 netted me a load of rice and 12 cocktail-size shrimp in the bland etoufee.
The seafood gumbo tasted good but it was hard to find the seafood. I spend a lot of time in southern Louisiana and these guys are posers...and expensive ones at that. Toss in the wet-bottomed serving trays and the dry dirty rice and it results in an experience that will not be repeated on my dime.
Maybe the 11 AM-9 PM happy hours dulls the sensibilities.
Sorry, kids.
