I use to enjoy this bar, now the service has gone down big time. I am usually ok with this because who cares, I just want a beer, but the bar tender Rich was the biggest dick to us, I will never be back

A friend and I went there on a Sunday afternoon. There were only 3 customers in the place when we walked in. There were three waitresses all at the bar chatting about their work schedules. We sat at the bar and it took several minutes before any one of the three employees acknowledged us with a "hello". We should have walked out then. Instead we ordered lunch and a beer. What we wanted from the menu was "out of stock". That was our second sign. Sunday aka football day and you ran out of basic staple items? I don't get it.

If anyone from Taps reads this, I would like to suggest that as soon as a customer walks in, GREET THEM! Especially when the place is empty. Customer service is very important, use it! Tell your employees that discussing work related issues should never be done in front of customers. We don't care what problems you have with your boss, coworkers, or your schedule. We are there to enjoy ourselves and forget about work.

The place has a nice seating arrangement and a patio. These are things we look for in a hang out. Unfortunately Taps will not be that place for us based on the issues I named. Based on my experience, I don't think Taps will survive.

Went out there for a bite to eat and a few beers. It was Karaoke night, so it was a bit loud, but since it was nice we opted to sit outside. The Karaoke guy was very entertaining, so it was fun to watch. The beer was cold, the food was fair and reasonably priced (big burger for the $$), but the kitchen staff made a mistake on my husband's order and we had to wait another fifteen minutes for it to be corrected. The atmosphere left a little to be desired. We just wanted a place to kick back, relax, and enjoy a little downtime, but that's not what we got. Our kids are out of town for Spring Break, so the last thing we cared to deal with was a little girl (7-9 years old) RUNNING around, bumping into everyone, knocking over chairs, and THROWING things. I took a projectile object to the head, and even though it was just a large rubber bracelet, I was still pissed. We mentioned it to the waitress, but she didn't seem overly concerned because the little urchin was with a large table of adults who appeared to be either really good friends with or family of the owners. Half the staff was around the table with them at any given time.

It seems to be a nice, clean place - something Cedar Park is very much in need of, but I think they might want to try a little harder to make the experience a nice one for all of their patrons, not just the family and friends.

I will check out the clientele before I spend money in there again. It doesn't cost anything to walk in and take a look around - in fact, it may mean the difference between a nice evening or a complete disaster that will leave you just wanting to go home.
