My mother & I just got back (11/09)from the URA-NIHON & SADO tour(13D,11N). This company provides excellent value for your money. The cost(under-$4000) was reasonable and the owner can do this since it is a family operated business there is no middle man or expensive office and staffing to maintain. Momoji, clear view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel balcony and calm seas to and from Sado Island were winners. Food? from a 4 place (western(French)) to the equivelent Japanese hot pot with crab and the works to Bento lunch from Jusco(fon own dinner/lunch). In addition, of the 11 hotels 8 of them were Onsen hotels for those of you that live for the Onsen like me this was a plus. If you need the frills like being served your water, juice, coffee then don't go with this company, there are no frills but what you get is a tour guide with 30 years experience his son as driver(excellent driver even in the Yokohama Marathon found alternative route to yokohama Bay Shearaton no problem) and a tour of the places listed. Mr. Kinoshita's (no relation to the late local tour operator) english is not the greatest but he makes every effort to make you understand what you are viewing and watching for some this maybe a concern but should not be a big one. This company goes on tour with 4 people there are no cancellations like some other tour companies. They can also customize tours for your party if you wish when you plan ahead . This tour company suits most traveled visitors to Japan but maybe a little difficult for first timers. Like a fine wine you will either like it or not, but you should check this company out because it is a good deal and value for the money!
