Sensei David has wonderful patience and a capacity for working with children of all ages. He takes a holistic approach to martial arts and with a seriousness which engages and challenges each child to realize his or her own individual potential. The kids naturally strive to advance as Sensei David also makes his classes fun. My son has been a student working with Sensei David for nearly five years now. Both of my children look forward to every class and have found a supportive and welcoming community at the Five Elements Mountain Dojo.

Sensei David's adult Tai Chi class is just as engaging. He is well adept in instructing even the not-so-pliable students through a process which revitalizes the body and spirit. He is personable and professional with students of all ages.

I could not say enough about Sensei David. My 11 year old has learned so much from his instruction. His level of confidence has grown so much since he started training. The way David teaches is amazing, he knows how to connect with the kids on so many levels, that they learn even when they don't know it. My family has a great respect for Five Elements Mountain, and Sensei David for the self esteem, confidence, and respect that our son has learned since he started training.

"Sensei David is a really funny guy. He doesn't really like whining. He's really nice." -- SS (Age 8)

"Sensei David is a patient guy that is always willing to give a person another chance. He's been a great help to me. Most of my teachings have been from him. He is always there for me." PS (Age 11)

As a parent, I know that my kids are safe, challenged, and cared for. The teaching is consistent in method while also expanding so the kids are never bored. This has been a great experience for my children.
