I think I made my point very clear on the other board. Your willing to post on other boards, I am too!
I have been riding at Rose Haven Stables and known Dana for over 4 years. She helped me find my first horse and I currently - and always will, board with her. I have NEVER experienced a problem of any kind with her or the facility. And, well, if the horse was sent to a rescue, WHY did the rescue call us up and ask Dana if she would take the horse back?? AND, furthermore, why have we been rescueing horses, and the rescue farms letting us if Dana is so "unable" to care for horses??? [edit]And lastly if ya'll have a problem with Dana Rose or the facility or are having doubts maybe instead of talking about it on a stupid online blog you should get in your car and go look at the facility. It dosn't take an equine expert to see if the facility is fitting the needs of the horses and people. This sounds a lot like a high school rumor and it should be taken care of in an adult way. If you have any question feel free to ask.
It's amusing that you said ALL the horses were skinny, but you can't give a description of them. I am out there almost every day, and I don't find a problem with any of them. We only have 2 show horses that Dana owns and lets lessoners show, and when I get the chance I prefer to ride them bareback than my own horse because they tend to be a bit on the plumper side. I may not be a vet or a trainer, but I can tell when a horse is skinny.
Quick question: Has anyone here that has a problem with Dana, actually trained with Dana, or had a horse in her care. No? Yeah, I thought so.
and...
AGAIN, please give me a description of all the skinny horses you seem to be seeing.
Lastly, I find this whole post hard to believe. I say this because the so called "animal abuser" you all are talking about can't be the same girl I know that literally picks up puppies and kittens of the side of the road and takes care of (we named her Daisy). I know this can't be the same girl that calls me in the middle of the night to make sure I am alive and comes to my house to check on me and take me out because she knows I am bored and lonely, when my parents take a trip out of town and leave me home with a capable, caring and love, but turning-21-year old brother.
And yeah, I can do what I want with my money, and I think I will use it to continue paying the best trainer I have ever had for her extraordinary horse care and lessons. I have been around the block a few times with a lot of different barns, and I am still happy with the care my horse receives.
Have a nice day. And if you want to talk message or e-mail me. egallivan_m@yahoo.com

Dana Rose sold a horse by the name of Kryptonite several years ago under the pretense that the horse was completely sound, healthy, and ready to compete. I believe that Dana fraudulated a vet check to lead the owners to believe that the horse was sound because from the moment he stepped on the trailer he was lame and cost the owners over $1000 a month to maintain due to OCD, arthritis, ulcers, and costly corrective shoeing. Dana attempted to lead the owners to believe that they were at fault for his condition although the University of Georgia where the horse was seen would easily argue that the conditions that the horse presented with had been chronic and apparent since early age. Dana refused to make right of the deal.

Well Coming from someone that knows Dana and Her old horse Kryptonite for many years I do know that Dana Told the people everything that was wrong with the horse and to this day has never heard anything from his owners about the horse, The only thing that saddens me is that she got a phone call 6 months ago from the equine rescue in NC stating that kryptonite aka bently was taken away from the people for animal crulty. that is heart breaking to everyone here and they contacted Dana for 2 months wanting her to take the horse back. and they also contacted the vet who did the vet check and was told that he spoke to the people who bought him while the vet check was going on so they new eveything and everything was faxed. So if people want to talk about Dana and her horses like that they should get the facts straight. And by the way this happened 3 years after the horse was sold.
And by the way its Equestrian not Equitation trainer
We have been very satisfied with the care our three horses have received at Rose Haven Stables. Our first horse came to RHS extremely underweight and slowly and steadily gained weight under Dana's care. Dana Rose has an amazing ability to match horses to people as evidenced by our horse, Ares. Dana is also a talented instructor with a caring, yet firm style that translates well to all children. I have witnessed Dana working with Special Needs kids as well as my own children and was wowed by her ability. I would recommend Dana Rose and her facility to anyone.
No I'm sorry you're facts are incorrect. I know this because I saw the vet report and was present when they picked the horse up at her farm/tried him. The horse was lame then and lame everyday since. Also, the horse was not seized for animal cruelty, the horse was donated after it became clear that despite 3 years of trying many treatments that he was never going to be sound enough to complete his job. He was donated to a rescue in NC where he was turned out to pasture. The owner of the rescue called Dana because when she ran his tatoo number it became obvious that the story that we had been told didn't add up to the story that his records showed. The owner of the rescue called me, as the trainer of the horse, to confirm the questionable story that Dana had told. Dana told the owner of the rescue that she would take him back and the owner of the rescue told her absolutely not because I had shown her pictures of the horse when he arrived at our farm. Kryptonite arrived at the rescue shod, in good weight, and with all of his medications that he was taking at the time for pain management. I encouraged the family to take her to court but they didn't see that much would come from it besides more of a headache and more bills. Dana Rose has several other stories very similar to this one if you do some poking around on the internet. I wish that these folks had done that- buyer beware!
and it is equitationtrainer not equestrian. 2 very different words- get a dictionary.
If Dana was interested in trying to correct the situation in anyway I'm sure that the family would be happy to get their $13,000 back. That'd be a great way to begin to make restitution.
