This jewel is nestled just a block down from the town square and is possibly the best Greek restaurant I have ever visited. The interior is painted in plain white with a wall or two painted in green to accent the white. Simply decorated with beautifully painted tabletops and quaint pictures hung sparingly upon the walls, the atmosphere is one that many restaurants strive to create, but fall short oh so often. The wait staff was impeccably helpful and friendly.
The food left nothing to be desired either. When asked what appetizer would be recommended, I was told about a chef's special that is not on the menu. It was a beautiful array of melted Feta cheese topped with delicately sliced tomato, sitting in a pool of olive oil. This delightful dish had crushed red peppers delicately sprinkled over it and was served with a slice of Pita. The best way to eat this delicacy is to spoon out a piece of Feta onto a slice of Pita, place a slice of tomato on top and enjoy.
As the main course was still be being prepared, I enjoyed a bowl of Lemon-Rice soup. Although skeptical at first, this tangy, home-made soup hit the spot. It definitely continued the mood set by the appetizer and the restaurant itself.
The main entrees I sampled were the Moussaka and the Gyro. The Gyro meat was prepared a little too crispy, however the meat itself was delicious. It was served in several slices layered next to the two slices of Pita with the Gyro sauce being served in a cup on the side. This was served with home-made green beans, which were mixed with small bits of tomato and onion. The Moussaka was absolutely delicious. It was a traditional Greek Moussaka made with eggplant. This dish definitely made the experience that much more enjoyable. It was a scrumptious collection of eggplant, Gyro meat, onions, tomato, Feta cheese, and many other delicious ingredients. It had a unique blend of flavors that melted together in my mouth; a taste that still very strongly lingers in my mind.
Portion sizes are more than adequate, leaving the patron feeling very satisfied at the end of the meal. I also took home some baklava that I am looking forward to enjoying.
The dining experience at The Olive was immaculate, the waitstaff very pleasant to deal with, and the food exceptional. Highly recommend this gem to anyone who wants their taste buds to be treated.

I can attest that the baklava was absolutely delicious the next day. With a sweet and crunchy filling surrounded by light pastry, it was an excellent way to finish off a wonderful dining experience.
