Il Bella Cafe is a welcomed addition to the eateries of Whittier. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Although it is small at present, there are immediate plans for expansion, which will allow for more comfortable seating.
I am particularly impressed with the quality of the food and the vast number of choices offered on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Because the food is delicious, I have dined there (and taken out) on a number of occasions.
I am truly saddened by the negative review written by "Michelle". Evidently, she is not in step with the current attitude that prevails in America - that of tolerance and good will. Nevertheless, she is entitled to her opinion. A better use of her time might be spent in service to others rather than attacking innocent people.
Keep up the great work, Il Bella. And kudos to the chefs!!!
I f'ing love this place. The food here is the bomb, flavor, flavor, flav. The best potato salad ever, hands down, the dill does the trick. I love the fact that a lesbian Chicana couple run and own this place; YOU GO GIRLS!!
So for any one who is not homophobic and loves excellent tasting food, in a cozy ambiance, they go for it.

I know everyone has their right to speak their own opinion..... But for heavens sake -enough with interpreting what you think a price for food SHOULD be or what food SHOULD taste like....everyones taste buds are different and from what it sounds like yours aren't at MY standards. As far as price, this is not a fast food joint or a burger stand, many restaurant owners struggle as it is with price comparisons to other restaurants. I feel their prices are comparable to any other rocky cola cafe or mimos cafe or mexican cafe....which by the way are all very good and affordable places to eat, just as Il Bella Cafe is.
