The Diamondback Tavern is a Maryland-style tavern with two distinct non-pretentious themes: Downstairs features a casual setting with a bar and dining room where guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced tavern fare that features the freshest local ingredients. Here, guests are encouraged to sit back and sip their favorite martini, a glass of wine from our well-rounded selection, or one of our specialty cocktails. Our upstairs theme is a sports bar where patrons can enjoy a cold beer or mixed cocktail, and watch sporting events on one of our many plasma TVs. The Diamondback Tavern was built on the premise that you should be able to enjoy a delicious meal at your favorite local tavern.
Amazing food and the friendliest service around! The menu is really different for a taver with a lot of comfort food and different kinds of pub food (fish n chips, shepherds pie, bangers and mash, wings). I love the wings, burgers, corn and crab dog and shepherds pie. Yeah, I've been there a few times as you can tell. I like how they went local with beer too- all of their tap handles are local beers except Miller Lite- gotta make the college kids happy i guess :)
Last week I walked into the DiamondBack Tavern not knowing what to expect and I am extremely glad that I stumble in. The menu was very different than I envisioned a tavern would be but, it worked in their favor. I had the Brisket entree that was priced very fairly and the taste was awesome. Even the carrots that came with it were amazing and for me to say that trust me that means a lot, cause i hate carrots. I cant wait to go back and try some other items. This comfty tavern has a great enviorment that fits right up my alley.
This place has fast become my favorite place to eat in Ellicott City. I've tried this place several times and each time I've had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service has always been fast and friendly. My favorite items are the Crab Dollop, Rockfish Bites, and the Maryland Corn & Crab Dog.
There is also a sports bar upstairs, which provides a fun place to watch the game and grab a drink.
I would highly recommend this place for someone who wants to try a delicious Maryland meal or to anyone who looking for a great local pub.
