I'm not sure what the previous reviewers are ranting on about- this place uis excellent. The first thing you need to know about any PF Changs is that if you show up without a reservation, you're going to have to wait. A long time. So phone ahead or book online- it will save you an hour or two waiting for a table. Don't go to Changs if you're hoping for a quick in-and-out; head over to Chili's or Applebee's for that sort of service and fare. So I suspect that the previous reviewers didn't know a thing about the chain itself.
My husband and I got to eat outside on the terrace, and the service and food were exceptional. Our waitress Meredith kept the beverages flowing, and she took the time to suggest items on the menu to us, box our leftovers, and mix our sauces for our appetizer. At the end of the meal, the manager came over to introduce himself and see how we enjoyed our dinner. In all, the staff spent an hour and a half pampering us-- all for a $50 bill (which covered 4 courses!). That's why tables take a while to open up... they're not rushing you out the door like other places.
I commend them for their excellent pride in service, their clean and well-kempt facilities, their delicious food, and their fantastic location. We could not ask for more and will definitely be back.
My main piece of advice: to maximize your Changs experience.... Make a reservation!!!!
Horrendous service, just atrocious. Drive the extra 30 mins to the Columbia location. Food, service and overall experience much better.
My husband and I frequently dine out at least three times a week. We've never been able to get into the new P.F. Chang's in Annapolis until we decided to visit for an early lunch today (before noon). On our arrival at the restaurant, it was still fairly empty with plenty of available seating, including several vacant booths, one of which we requested (particularly since it was cold outside and we wanted to have a private conversation). A girl attending the front podium advised us that we could not have a booth since the restaurant assigned seating by the wait staff queue (what??). She seated us at a table (that was not properly set - no silverware or napkins) that was also close to the front door. We've eaten at other P.F. Chang's chain restaurants previously. While it's not great, the food is usually acceptable although my husband's "Singapore Street Noodles" were terrible (he said that the noodles tasted like they were cooked in a dirty pan). My diet Coke soda was completely flat (not just the first glass but also the refill).
When we left the restaurant, the podium staff (who we had to pass to get out of the restaurant) did not thank us or so much as acknowledge we were leaving - they were too busy chatting it up with each other.
This will be first - and last - time we'll spend our money ($43 for LUNCH!!) at this location. They need to take a cue from Gordon Biersch, just down the street. The service there is outstanding - with lots of appreciation for our business.

a staff queue is the rotation system that the majority of restaurants use so that each server has an equally fair amount of tables so no one is screwed out of money. Next time, maybe ask if there is a table, still in the appropriate server's section, that you could have instead. When the soda is flat, you should speak up about it; most of the time a restaurant server is not going to know the soda is flat because they are not drinking it. As for not being greeted on your way out, shame on them.
