User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOur 8 year old daughter has been with Adagio since she was three years old. We have always been very, very happy with Svetlana, Adagio's owner, and all of the other instructors. When the children are young Svetlana integrates fairy tales and costumes into each class so all of the little students LOVE going to class to listen to the fairy tale (which the instructor reads from a big story book), act out AND dress up according to their favorites such as Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations, etc. Later, when the girls get a little older, Svetlana focuses on the very basics of ballet -- posture, point, positions, etc...making sure that the little ballerinas have the proper foundation before they move on. If you are looking for classical ballet training at its best there is no need to go any further. You've found it!

Adagio is a wonderful dance school with amazing teachers who really connect with kids. The owners and management are friendly and approachable. My daughter has been at the school since its inception and she has grown tremendously as a dancer. Before attending Adagio, my daughter attended 3 other ballet schools so we can confidently say Adagio is truly the best dance school in the area.

My 5 year old loves this place and is always excited to go to class! We spent about a year at the Arlington location, but had to move to the new Fairfax one for convenience. The Ffx location is gorgeous but what really makes this a great dance school are the teachers and the program. Even for the little ones it's very structured so you don't feel like your child is just jumping around aimlessly (in my opinion some schools try to get away with that kind of thing...)The teachers are serious and truly put in their heart in what they do. It's been a pleasure to taking my daughter there!
