I have been shopping at this store for years. We have always had great customer service until today. I brought my family to the annual fall festival that this store takes part of. Parking has always been behind and along this building. When we pulled up to the building I noticed that there were open spots and took a few alongside the building. There were no signs that we were not allowed to park in that area, and the few orange cones that were in the parking area were not aligned to indicate that parking was not allowed. We parked and went into the festival and had a great time. While at the festival my daughter was bitten by fire ants, something she has to carry an epi pen for. I decided that we needed to leave and get medicine for her before she began having breathing problems. Upon returning to the car we realized that not only had cones been aligned so where we could not get out, there was a Red Truck blocking the only exit out of the parking area. This was obviously done with intent, for there was no possible way to exit the parking area. I decided to ask the business if they knew who might have parked like that and if they may be able to move the truck. The man working the register (Ray?) told me that I was not supposed to park there. I told him that I was sorry I did not know that but that I needed to get my daughter to a hospital. His reply was that it was going to take a while because he had to get the workers out of the cafe to move the truck. He seemed to not care that I told him I had a child that needed medical attention. After returning to my car and waiting a few minutes a lady that was working the festival knocked on my car window. She informed me that the workers were moving Ice and that it would be a few more minutes. When a man finally emerged from the back of the building and move the truck I was honked at to move my car by him. I am sorry that a child needing medical attention is less important that moving ice. This could have been avoided if there had simply been signs.
EXCELLENT home cooked food--not "down home cooking," just food made by people who obviously enjoy cooking. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommended.
