After years spent avoiding dentists due to a number of particularly souring experiences as a child, I finally found myself in the uncomfortable position of needing an emergency root canal around Christmas. While I had the initial work performed at another office, I ultimately found my way to Afton Dental and Dr. Nick's office. The trepidation I had was soon allayed by a friendly and welcoming staff who on every subsequent visit have done everything possible to assure me that I am being provided with top-service care, including welcoming me by name on each visit. Dr. Nick has a calm but assertive demeanor which communicates competence and puts you at ease, an invaluable characteristic for any medical practitioner but especially for dentists (in my case, at least). As for the rest of the staff, Tony and Rosemary are friendly and patient and willing to work with you depending on your needs and your budget. Julia, the dental hygienist, seems equally skilled and kind. I noticed a reviewer below commented on the appearance of the office. My reply would be that while the office is perhaps not the most modern in appearance, the level of service and care are as high as you could find anywhere. I highly recommend this place!
