I am from California and I am very glad to have had the opportunity to eat at this Bistro. The food is great and the service is excellent. I definately recommend this restaurant.

You step inside the door and you are greated by simple elegance and gracious hospitality. The decor is charming-well thought out; it immediateley creates a sense of intimacy and warmth. At your table you will find a professional and conscientious server ready to wait on you. The dessert menu is incredible. We chose the Raspberry and it is a raspberry cream filling with chocolate covered in grenache. Added to the presentation of this dessert is a spun sugar, lacey woven treat on the top. We also tried the strawberry bavarian cream dessert. It is to die for! A light, melt in your mouth. creamy surprise coupled with an amazing and decorative presentation. It is definitely not the local grocery store bavarian. The food is absolutely as good as it looks. They also feature a marvelous souffle Delectable! As we visited with some diners they spoke highly of the dinner menu as well. Comments include, " Worth the money. " and, "Finally a place in the area that is unique and not a chain.' So, if you want to escape for a meal that surpasses the food chains and the cases full of processed bake goods, head on over to Raspberry's and give yourself an authentic journey to satisfy the pallet.

Raspberrys Bistro and Fine Pastry is located at 1512 Dakota Avenue. I love to try something new just for the experience, good or bad.

Based on the name alone one would expect to walk in and see a display case filled with beautiful pastries. This was not the case, and yes, it was a bit disappointing, but we were still willing to try this restaurant for the experience.

What was found was a quaint little establishment, the décor styled in bohemian retro, and the tables were an intimate setting with candles and fresh flowers. Trying something different, I made the decision to have the catfish sandwich with apple slaw that came with fries. When the food arrived, it was extremely pleasing to the eye. The catfish was deep-fried and served on a foccacia bun with the apple slaw resting on top, served as an open-faced sandwich. The fries were served in a metal cone packed and piled high. The portions were definitely not disappointing.

The apple slaw was crisp and refreshing and was a great accompaniment to the catfish.

The expectations receive 3 smiles because I truly wanted to see what the name advertised, fine pastries☺☺☺.
