Fontaine Construction

Fontaine Construction (Tom Fontaine, owner) did a large renovation job for me. It was a wonderful transformation of a beat up rental property. Tom is easy to work with. He is a local guy whose subcontractors are mostly people who he knows and has worked with for years, so you feel safe leaving the keys. As always, with large complex renovations there are little this and thats that appear after the project is done and paid for. The sign of a good contractor, I am told, is that your general contractor stands by his work and comes back to fix any problems that arise. They did in my project because it is a 200 yr-old house and was a can of worms. Tom does come back and he stands by his work. He is a general contractor but will also do smaller carpentry and renovation jobs, which many larger contractors won't do.
