Good down home comfort food , regular or with a twist. Delicious, Tasty served with a smile.Lunch is always fun , Angus burgers and daily specials, Friday night fish fry is world class. Now they have Wednesday Chicken night. You will want to get there early for that. There breakfast is tasty from the first bite. Try the Farmers platter my personal favorite. If you like it light the waffles and pancakes hit the spot.
Nikki and Lino make your visit warm and friendly, There family has been in the resturant buissness for years this being Nikki and Lino's venture (bring your laptop and enjoy the free wi fi) Clean, Modern cutting edge menu and techniques. Come and Enjoy....beautiful downtown Leaf River...enjoy some of the best scenery in Northern Illinois -

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I liked the atmosphere , I was looking forward to appetizers. We as a group tried a few of them. The first was a very tasty Burger and etc.When was the last time you enjoyed a USDA approved, rib eye or Angus Burgers? It had been awhile for me, and I can always rely on Mary to order the steak and she did. As soon as she experienced her first bite, she was in food heaven - a very good sign. No surprise, she is now a big fan of COUNTRY LEAF CAFE.
It was suggested we leave room for dessert and we did. It was as good as it gets. We also had an unbelievable cheesecake; also as good as it gets anywhere. I loved their home-made pies. It was quite the way to finish the meal.
