Great food, friendly service. We go at least 2-3 times a month. The sides are my favorite. Fresh green beans cooked properly - not soggy, brown things that used to be green beans. Desserts are great and made on-site. Now they have an outdoor patio with live music too!

Go for brunch. That is the best choice. Everything is fresh, good and plentiful. DO NOT get it to go. Styrofoam as a legitimate togo container is not the answer at all. You can not drop hot fried food in a styro and not expect it to melt.... DUH! An order of onion rings is REALLY good but at 25 cents a ring, not that good. The burgers, though good, don't forget to ask for the veggies and condiments... cause they won't come if you don't. If you can "eyeball" the number of fries you have to an order then you do not have enough. But the FOOD is GREAT... you can not argur the taste. Chicken fried steak is the best and do not pass up the cabbage on the brunch, but bang for the buck is lacking unless you enjoy the brunch.

The billboard said best chicken fried steak, I would like to beg to differ. The gravey was bland and lacked taste. Had to try and pepper it heavily, and it was real thick like paste. The mashed taters were terriable and had a bad flavoe to them. The squash cassorole was good with a nice crust and sweet taste to them. I sample the pot roast and it was good, the gravey was terriable, and had a white color to it. The service was great if you get Heather. If you get the young waitress's then you will be lucky if you get sat or even waited on. They spend all there time sitting at one table talking, when someone comes in they wont get up and help, or they may walk off towards the kitchen. I sat there and watched Heather wait on 5 tables, answer the phones, sit customers coming in and they just kept on talking. Its nice on the inside, kinda a travel back in time.
The only problem is it isnt worth the time to travel off the highway and take extra time to find it. There are no signs to point you in the right direction, I had to drive around until I found it. I really wasnt knocked off my feet by eating there. Heather you deserve better team players.
