After waiting for the guy at the counter make idle conversation with the guy in front of us, he walks to the back, leaving us standing at the counter to look over the menu. The guy comes back and says goodbye to the other guy and his two friends.
Guy behind the corner finally acknowledges us and says, 'Yeaaah. I'm sooo sorry, but the kitchen's closed for the next half-hour. We got a call yesterday for 108 burgers (mind you, these are mini-burgers. sliders. the very same sliders that we're there for.) You can come back in half-an-hour.'
So rather than throw on six additional sliders, this guy turns away customers that have been to this Tastee before and had planned on returning in the future. I was really taken aback. We were the only people in there. I really shouldn't be as upset about this, but really? Shut up and put in an order for six sliders.
Ah well. There's plenty of other places to choose from. Strike Tastee from that list, then.
