I cannot say enough good things about Larry's Independent Auto Service.
My first experience was with a brake indicator light that was lit. I first thought it was a tail light out, so I checked the tail and brake lights. All seemed to be operating properly. Sometimes the brake indicator light would go out.
I took it to Independent Auto Service and I was afraid it would be a big problem - they replaced one tail light and charged $ 2.58.
They checked over the car and reported a ticking sound in the motor and advised me that it was time to get a different car (before this one failed on me). They even started phoning people they know trying to find a vehicle that was in good mechanical condition in my price range.
I found a used car that I liked and brought it to the mechanic. He diagnosed the problems with the car, made recommendations as to what things were most important and worked out essentially a repair plan. They showed me the problems and explained to me in detail what work had to be done, how they would do and even explained what things they wouldn't know until they had opened up the car and inspected.
They gave an estimate which I would call the worse case estimate and said it could be less. I like that better than the alternative - an optimistic estimate and then a call that breaks the bank.
I left my car with them and one of the owners gave me a ride home.
I had them do the repairs on the recently purchased car. It took about a week, but I was in no rush. I hadn't made an appointment and they were obviously doing a good business when I arrived on a Thursday morning.
I am thrilled with both the service and the vehicle I purchased.
I didn't know this at the time I authorized the repairs, but they even offer an eighteen (18) month guarantee on their work (local) and provide a twelve (12) month guarantee (nationwide). I had the transmission replaced.
They also followed up with a phone call a week or two later to see if the car was operating properly and if I was satisified with their service. And today, I received a post card thanking me for my patronage.
I am very satisified with the service and I am asounted by their incredible customer service.
What can I say - I'm a raving fan of Larry's Independent Auto Service. I will recommend them to my friends and colleagues.
Larry is one of the best in the Lexus Auto Business. He gets things done with customer service. I get nothing but great news from my friends I send over as well. We all love going to him because he is a lot less than the dealer and will even pick up the car if needed. I highly recommend him to my friends who own a Lexus and anyone else who needs to find an honest mechanic with integrity to work on their vehicle.
