    From the moment I walked into the office, everyone was very nice and friendly and greeted me with a smile. All my questions were answered and I never felt rushed or obligated to do anything I didn't want to. They took the time to explain every step to me and made sure I understood everything. The one thing that I loved was that the initial consulation didn't cost a thing. I did my research and other places charged $145 just to me. So that was a big plus for me! The day of my surgery was smooth sailing and everything went great. Everyone was working together to make my experience as comfortable as possible. I would really like to thank Dr. Carter for making my dream come true. I was always told that I would wear glasses forever but Dr. Carter made it possible. Dr. Carter was straight forward with me and made me aware that my case was difficult but that it was possible. I couldn't be more happy with my results. Thank you Dr. Carter and all your stuff for a job well done.

    Recently I received a notice saying my vision plan was about to expire. When I called to ask about it, I was informed that, not only were these “sent out in error”, but that my 1 included lifetime fix was invalidated due to not having been to him annually, which was never mentioned to me as a condition. I can understand notices being sent out in error, but the “warranty” invalidation (as if my eyes are car tires) is too much to tolerate. The “warranty” paperwork, of which I was not given a copy, was offered to me over the phone at the time of inquiry for $25 for the first 20 pages and .50 for each page after. I understand this is a way to cause warranty invalidation, but is at the cost of extremely dissatisfied ex-patients. The warranty is 1 of the reasons I chose him in the first place, at the cost of several thousand dollars for everything. I have for the most part been happy with my lasik, except for the slightly blurry right eye I have mentioned to him several times. The exams have indicated my vision in that eye was 20/20, yet when I read road signs, I sometimes have to either wait until I get right up to them to read clearly, or close my right eye. I did not press the right eye issue because I THOUGHT I could save the 1 fix for if my eyes did start degrading. That option has apparently been removed. I am thoroughly unhappy now, and would like to see a reasonable solution to this, rather than “Sorry, your warranty’s invalidated. Go away.”
