Scientific research reveals that playing a musical instrument can reverse stress at a molecular level, improve mood and increase human growth hormone (HgH) production. Studies show that music lessons encourage and motivate students to stay in school longer and contributes to higher graduation rates. Students taking music lessons in a recent study scored 63 points higher on verbal and 44 points higher on math.
