We work to accomplish this mission by having a concentrated focus on providing support to families which include a person on the autism spectrum, through parish support groups and supporting those who contact our office via email by phone. We also provide information on autism and autism spectrum disorders to those who make requests. We offer resources to those who are looking for providers of programs and services to assist their families. We offer free, family-oriented events throughout the year. We have an email list to help inform our families, supporters, and professionals about upcoming events and activities of interest. We issue a quarterly newsletter which is distributed to our members, area schools, supporters and businesses in communities we serve. We have a website to help inform and educate our members and general public. We also support a mentor program at UL for individuals on the autism spectrum. Less
