Due to a really bad astigmatism, I had considered Laser correction surgery for the past 20 years... I even went through all of the pre-op tests back in 1990, only to cancel the procedure a week before I was to have it done. But with technology, comes change. I waited 20 years to make sure that all the bugs would be worked out of Laser Eye Surgery. I found Liberty Vision and Dr. Gold on the internet. I read the reviews, and decided that I would check them out in person. I made the appointment and everyone in the office was professional & friendly. I scheduled my procedure and had Epi-Lasik Surgery in February 2012. It s been a little over two months and I couldn t be happier... I didn t wear glasses at all, and my vision was very poor due to the astigmatism. I am happy to say that I already have 20/20 vision in both eyes and they are still improving. The staff at Liberty Vision made everything so easy. Step by step instructions, personal attention and professional advice made the entire experience, a piece of cake. The procedure wasn t at all painful and I never had any problems with my eyes after the surgery...I just followed Dr. Gold s instructions exactly as he stated and now I can see!!! Thank you again...Dr. Gold Choosing the Epi-Lasik procedure and choosing Liberty Vision was one of the best decisions that I ever made!
Dr. Gold gets my highest recommendation!!!
During my annual eye exam, he had discovered that I had monovision - at that time he had informed me of a minor procedure that could correct this problem - I contacted the office within a few days to schedule an appointment - upon arrival for the pre-op exam - we were greeted with big smiles and a friendly hello - (which we always get), no matter how busy the office is, they make you feel like family. After a 5 minute wait in the office, Dr. Gold examed my eyes and told me that he thinks it would benefit me to hold off on the procedure because my eye is not ready for it yet and he would not feel comfortable in doing the surgery - we told him we appreciated the fact that he is looking out for us and not in it for the money - he told me that if anything worsen with my eye to contact him immediately and he would take care of me then - I told him I am very thankful to have him as my eye doctor and would not trade him in for the world.
Way to go Dr. Gold - thanks for being the best you can be - I will surely refer you to all of my friends and family
Sincerely, Jodi Bransfield, Portland, CT
Hi Jodi, thanks for the kudos. Just so readers can understand, MonoVision is a good thing! Yours is only partial but enuf for you at this time. As the years creep up on you, if your partial MonoVision becomes insufficient, we can tune it up with additional surgery, but you currently do not need it. JDG
I recently had Epi-Lasik surgery after thinking about it for years. I am so happy with the results! It s so nice waking up in the morning and being able to see it all . I ve worn contact lenses for many years but there came a time when I just couldn t wear them anymore so I switched over to glasses. How nice it is to not have to wear glasses anymore! The surgery was painless and fast. Dr. Gold and his staff demonstrated professionalism, courtesy and prompt service at all times. I would highly recommend Dr. Golf for anyone that has thought about having their vision corrected. He is a wonderful doctor and I have no regrets!!
Hi Linda, thanks for the kind words. You started having contact lens problems because like everyone, your eyes got drier with time. Our ability to make tears decreases 60% from age 16 to 60. The contact lenses, in order to stay wet, suck up tears from your eyes and the eyes become uncomfortable. JDG
