Dr. Boyer has an active interest in small and exotic animals and continues to lecture and write on reptiles and ferrets. He is a member of the American, California and San Diego County Veterinary Medical Associations, American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society, the San Diego Herpetological Society and Ferrets Anonymous. Dr. Caron, originally from France, graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, which she followed by completing a 12 month Small Animal Rotating Internship in Boston, MA. During her internship, Dr. Caron spent the majority of her time in the emergency room, with rotations in neurology, dermatology, cardiology, internal medicine, and of course exotic pet medicine! Dr. Caron then joined the Pet Hospital of Penasquitos team as a Reptile & Amphibian resident.
