It is woman-owned and operated by a solo local business owner, Krista Knudsen Thomas. MVP hosts over a dozen Pilates teachers, each of whom has their own diverse training and teaching style, and they all are in charge of their own businesses. Krista acts as a facilitator and Movement Matchmaker, thereby helping teachers grow their businesses and build our studio community. MVP has 2 beautiful studios in the Montclair Village area of Oakland--one for privates, and one for groups. Our studio tends to attract folks who want to be committed and consistent, and all the teachers who rent space here are truly dedicated to enhancing the well-being and health of their clients. One-on-one, semi-private, and small group Pilates training are all offered in person in our 2 bespoke and uniquely decorated studios in the Montclair Village area of Oakland. MVP renters specialize in all types of Pilates: therapeutic, rehabilitative, and fitness-based, as well as pre/postnatal, pre/post surgery, injury prevention, pain management, posture and alignment issues, back pain management, and overall body and core strengthening. Virtual offerings are available with Krista as well.
