In every town there's always some restaurant that has amazing food, but never seems to have as many customers as it deserves. Maybe it's because of the location, or maybe it's competing with a lot of other restaurants of a similar genre... so what restaurants in Dublin/Pleasanton do you think deserve far more customers than they seem to get?
For Japanese food, try Lindo in the Rose Pavillion -- same complex as Ethan Allen. It is the only good (not great) sushi in Pleasanton.
Strizzis (downtown p-town), Sushi Restaurant near Gene's Market (can't remember name but AWESOME for great price), Amelia's Deli--GREAT VEGE sandwich and awesome selections. We love our local food-fare. I'll post more if I can think of them.
Senro Sushi - it's kind of hidden between First St and Main St.; but it's great!
Also, new restaurant: Amarone (680 Main St) - very nice thin crust pizza; I've also tried the gnocci which was great. Selection of wines from Italy.
Senro Sushi is terrible. The rice didn't not have the right proportions of vinegar and mirin, the musubis were too big, and the fish was only ok. To top it off, its pricey. You're better off going to Lindo in the Rose Pavillion for sushi/Japanese food. Too bad Shun Bistro closed down -- that place was slow but better than Lindo.
The Indian place next to Trader Joe's is really good. I think they recently changed the name from Tabla to Curry Leaves. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired but that's often the case in good, authentic restaurants. On Wednesdays they offer a delicious goat biryani1
Willow Tree Chinese Restaurant in Dublin next to the Outback is pretty good. Speaking of Chinese Restaurants, I have no idea why Panda Inn in downtown Pleasanton consistently gets a "Best Of" award. It's terrible.
DELATTORIES on Hopyard and W. Los Positas, in the Lucky's shopping center. It is by far the very best Italian restaurant in all of Pleasanton. We have dined there for a very long time and we have never had a meal that disappointed us. There standard menu of pasta, pizza and salads, etc., are predictably great staple, however the real palet pleasures are in the various specials that are prepared daily.
We go to Pleasanton every weekend and eat at either Blue Agave Club or Baci's pretty consistently. Baci's has great soups and salads - my husband's favorite is the spinach w/ chicken salad and I love their portobello mushroom soup. Lately we've fallen in love with the angel hair pasta - so fresh tasting!
Also love Blue Agave - mostly get nachos there so I can't comment on most of the other menu items.
Ate once at Stacy's - overpriced, overrated - over it.
You know by far this is the best resteraunt. Its service is pretty fast considering....but the food is consistent, its fairly cheap, and you can clean your insides out in a jiffy......Mcdonalds.....lol
This sounds like an advertisement for McDonalds. We know this just fast food

I would have said "Las Fuetnes" on Main Street where Stanley and Main meet, but it wasn't it's usual awesome self the last time I ate there. Bummer.
