I know it is too late for mother's day, but you could try Le Peep grill. I have eaten there several times. Shockingly they are never busy. They also have an excellent sellection. Another good place is off the loop by Chili's. I cannot remember the name, but they have excellent breakfast choices and good sandwiches. Hope this helps.
