You can try Dr. Gold in Sunnyvale. I was a patient for 3 years, but decided to get a new OD closer to my home. Dr. Gold's staff is very friendly and they have the newest equipment to test your eyes. Also, they have a good selection of frames.

Dr Gold in Sunnyvale is pretty good. I also like the optometrist in the Great Mall (Milpitas).

I've tried a few and preferred Site for Sore eyes.
However, a friend just told me that CostCo is the cheapest of them all, in case that's an issue, and in case you have a membership already.

Hi
We have been going to Santa Clara Eye Center for a number of years and have found them to be great. Dr. Dodd is awesome and never tries to scam you into buying anything you don't need. He is very well read, and always seems to be on top of the latest medical "stuff" . Their phone number is 408-241-3510 and they are off Scott in Santa Clara

I go to Shinmori Optometry. There are at 212 Jackson st. The office is friendly, clean and professional. They never try to sell you anything you do not need. I see Dr. Nakano I was ready to buy new glasses and she insisted that I did not need to. Thumbs up here!

I've used shinmor for the eye exam. Glasses are expensive.

For my young child, I brought the prescription to "Foreyes", El paseo shopping center. Price of the frame INCLUDES THE LENS. Cost more if you need byfocals, tinting, etc.

Best deal is costco. Asked my Optopolgist her opinion of Costco. She said her husband goes there. Prices are very good.
Selection limited. But, prices very good.

About 2 years ago, I purchased wire frame, single lens,auto-darkening, glases for around $125 total out the door.

I frequent Optima Optometry in Sunnyvale for my checkups and contacts:

I recently went to the Vision Insight optometrist in the Great Mall in Milpitas to get my glasses. Great customer service there! The opticians are very helpful in telling you what fits your face...

I also tried ForEyes prior to going to Milpitas and the customer service there was VERY lacking that I walked out and never went back!
