My husband and I stopped in to the Alpen for a quick afternoon cocktail and ended up staying into the early evening. The atmosphere in the pub/restaurant is relaxing and cozy, complemented by friendly, prompt service. We particularly enjoyed their Bloody Marys and onion rings...both were the best we've found in the U.P.! If they had entertainment (a small band, karaoke, or a comedian would go great there) in the evenings we would have stayed all night.
