Graduated 1970 didn't like it then.
They held me back a grade so they could have enough people to create the second graduating class of 25. 8 other people were treated the same way.
I don't think they still do that to people. But, the second review doesn't lead me to believe that they treat poorer kids any better. My parents couldn't afford to send me to college. No guidance counselor existed and no teacher asked me if I wanted to go to college. No guidance on financial aid whatsoever. College Preparatory school...?
However, if you investigate and find they have guidance counselors now and its affordable and class size still small it might be alright. The one thing I do say helped me was the class size. My home room at public school was 60 strong sometimes my class size was 8 in individual classes at BLHS but never more than 25 in one class. So if that is the same a child can learn ...check it out and decide for yourselves.
