My visit started normally. I was referred by my dentist to have my wisdom teeth removed. I was led into exam room 2 and they asked for the form that I signed. I told the lady that I had a few more questions for the doctor so I didn't initial all the lines. She tried to answer my questions, but was unable to do so and led me toward a room where the doctor was. She told him I had questions and he yelled at her to make me watch "the video." She put me in exam room 1 to watch the video. The doctor came in after the video and yelled at me as I tried to ask a question and said I had to wait-he needed my xrays. I said they were in room 2 and he yelled again that i needed to wait. He stepped into the hall and yelled at the staff that he needed my xrays; again I tried to tell them where they were, but he ignored me. Finally someone yelled back that they were in room 2. After settling the xray issue, he came back in and pointed to the ray on the wall (which was to my right and slightly behind me) and pointed out the bone, wisdom teeth, etc. I couldnt see what he was pointing to, so I got up to look at the xray and he yelled at me, telling me I need to sit back down. I told him I had questions about the xray and he told me again that I needed to sit down. The man (who is quite tall) was acting like he was afraid of the skinny blonde girl with impacted wisdom teeth - whatever. I sat back down and again I tried to ask my questions but he appeared very agitated and kept telling me to wait (He has a canned speech that he seems to think will answer all your questions, but the speech, the pamphlets and the video are pretty much the same thing.) A women stood in the room while he gave the speech....I assumed she was there as a witness, but this was never confirmed. I was quite taken aback by this behavior but went to the desk to schedule my surgery. As I stood there, he went into exam room 3 and came back out again yelling that he needed the xrays for the patient. The staff explained that they didnt take xrays because his insurance wouldnt pay for it - information I thought I shouldnt be privy to but is hard to miss when the conversation is being yelled down the hall. He then yelled at the staff that they need to tell the patient that he couldnt do anything without an xray. At the time, he was standing approx 1.5 feet from the patients open door in exam room 3. I left stunned and despite being in pain, decided to cancel my surgery due to the horrible unprofessionalism. I called and asked for my xrays and I went to pick them up at 3:45 pm, and the office was locked and the lights were out. The next day, I called to make sure someone would be there and she said to call before I came because sometimes they go home early. I have no idea how the man is as a surgeon, but as a professional he and the entire operation are sorely lacking.
