When I first moved to the Boston area I was living with my sister in Arlington. I was hunting for a really progressive church with good people that were challenging themselves and others. From the first time I found Clarendon Hill I knew I would return. It has now been over three years. I moved to Jamaica Plain and I still go all the way back to Somerville on Sunday mornings to be a part of this amazing place.
Here are some of the highlights as far as I am concerned and there are many more than I can list:
- Friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful community
- strong and deep committment to Peace issues locally and around the world.
- evolving new ideas and trying new things
- A diverse community including Age diversity!
- amazing food and fair trade coffee at fellowship hour after the service
- small but fabulous choir
- the Nave Gallery and the connection to ARTSomerville
